Cochlear implants are amazing neurotechnological devices. But assessing how their users brain processes sounds such as speech has been hampered by their electrical activity that shows up as artifacts in EEG recordings. We have developed a novel way to identify and reduce such artifacts where they matter most, in response to continuous speech. The results have just appeared in the JournalOfNeuralEngineering. The method has been implemented in an easy-to use Python Package freely available online on Python Package Index (PyPI).
